Direct food procurement and pre-Eid distribution for verified eligible families. The core objective of Zakat al-Fitr is to secure immediate food access for the poor so they do not go hungry on Eid day. Darul Infaq calculates Fitrana based on the local market value of standard food staples—such as wheat, flour, rice, or dates—equivalent to one Sa’ (approximately 2.5kg–3kg) per person. A $5 donation fulfills the obligation for one person, $25 covers a household of 5, and $50 funds staple food packages for 10 eligible individuals.
Because Fitrana must reach beneficiaries before the start of Eid Salah to be valid, Darul Infaq operates an advance distribution system. We utilize pre-collected funds to purchase staple grains in bulk and allocate distribution tokens to pre-vetted, Zakat-eligible households in the final days of Ramadan. Through systematic voucher tracking and transparent financial audits, we fulfill this sacred obligation with absolute punctuality, ensuring 100% of collected Fitrana is converted into tangible nutritional relief delivered directly on time.
