After his retirement from AT&T of 23 years of service in 2020, rather than finding another job, he wanted to follow his passion to serve humanity to keep himself busy. Started with a very small effort of providing a month of groceries to few households of 4-6 members with very limited or no financial support in the Indian subcontinent. He was fortunate to find selfless dedicated individuals to help with this effort. This initial effort took off, and within a few months the support grew from few to multiple households in both countries. It was necessary that this personal effort be formalized and Darul Infaq Foundation USA - a non-profit organization was formed. He was fortunate to find two individuals as passionate as him to serve humanity - Rahat Kadri in Canada and Syeda Seema Fatima in India, who founded Darul Infaq Foundation Canada and Darul Infaq Foundation India respectively. All 3 organizations are working together as standalone organizations for the same cause to serve humanity.
